I am so thankful to have been blessed with Emily at both of my births. With my first, I went into labor on the 4th of July. Emily left her lake cabin, in a swim suit to be with me. She was with me the entire time, until my daughter was born on July 6th! She helped advise when would be the appropriate time to go to the birthing center; this was very helpful as a nervous first time mom-in-labor! Emily again stayed with me all night while I labored, she put pressure on my back while I labored in a pool, I know she wasn’t in a comfortable position while doing her very best to make me the most comfortable possible. Emily helped count the contractions and reminded me I would soon get another break and also giving me a heads up for when the next contraction was to begin.
I have had two wonderful birth experiences and Emily was central to both of them. I would not want to labor without her support and kindness!
