Creating a Postpartum Plan

“Is there anything I can do for you?” We often hear this as we near the end of our pregnancy. It’s commonly said by those closest to us, but sometimes by mere acquaintances hoping for a chance to get close to the Up-and-Coming Attraction. You may find yourself tempted to brush this offer aside; thinking you can handle the first few weeks of baby bliss on your own… Besides, you’ve seen many ‘new moms’ gracefully transition into ‘Super Mom’ within days of delivery, right?

Feed Mama, Grow Baby

Let's face it, in this world of processed foods and convenience, eating well is difficult. During pregnancy, it can be even more difficult. Never fear, it is easier than you think to add a nutritional boost to your diet. You diet not only increases your health during pregnancy, supplements the important growth your baby is doing, but also can effect your mood in a positive way.

Beat the Burn

During my first pregnancy I had terrible heart burn. I ate TUMS like candy; even though it never took the heartburn all the way away . One of the first things I said after my daughter was born was “I don’t have anymore heartburn!” 5 years later I experienced extreme heartburn, low and behold, I was pregnant. 5 years after that, I had the same first symptom... HEARTBURN.

Batman and Robin

Dads and Doulas are like peanut butter and chocolate. Both are great on their own, but together they’re incredible! I guess this analogy only works for my fellow Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup fans, but I’m sure you other two get what I am reaching for here. One ingredient plays off of the other, creating something beautiful without overpowering the other.
